The dispensary bench

Plate 01 Central Alberta Cabinets The bench is the spine of the whole pharmacy, so it gets laid out first. A continuous run of drawers and adjustable shelving under a black laminate top, with a raised privacy wall that keeps the work surface out of view from the retail floor.

Stock and overflow
Plate 02 Central Alberta Cabinets Full height units and a long shelving wall behind the bench, every shelf on standards. Stock profiles change, so nothing here is fixed in place. The far end is left open for the pickup counter to tie into.

We walk your picking, filling, and checking sequence first and lay the bench out around it, so staff are not crossing the floor to finish a script.

Before you build
Questions pharmacy owners ask.
- Do you build to a banner's fixture standard?
- Yes. Most banners hand you a layout or a fixture package. Send it over and we quote to it, then produce shop drawings for your approval. If there is no package, we measure the space and draw the casework ourselves.
- How do you handle narcotics and controlled storage?
- Lockable cabinetry is designed into the dispensary run rather than added later, so it lines up with the bench and does not eat working space. We key it to whatever protocol your licence and insurer require.
- Can you build while we are still dispensing?
- For a relocation, we build the new space while you keep trading in the old one. For a renovation in place, we phase the work and install evenings and weekends so you are not closing the dispensary.
- What is the lead time?
- Most pharmacy fit outs run 6 to 10 weeks from approved drawings to installation, depending on scope and finish selections. We confirm dates in writing once drawings are signed off.
- How far do you travel?
- Red Deer and all of Central Alberta, including Blackfalds, Lacombe, Sylvan Lake, Penhold, Innisfail, Olds, and Ponoka. Call us if your site sits outside that area and we will tell you straight whether we are the right shop.
